Tourism in China, which maintains7%average annual growth, has become a new economic growth point and one of the pillar industries. As the demand of talents increase year by year, the college enrollment is enlarging. More and more people engage in tourism industry. But the employment situation of tourism management undergraduate is not optimistic, and the gaps between the market demands of applied skills and college’s theory teaching model appeared.Tourism management, which is on the basis of management, pays more attention to the applied skills. The college teaching objectives not only confine to the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, but also focus on the students’Professional quality, investigation and practical ability and the consciousness of service and management, etc. Those illustrate the necessity of highlighting practical teaching, deepening the connotation of the practice teaching,enriching practical teaching method and strengthening practical teaching effect. Compared to lecture method of teaching, practice teaching is more intuitive and vivid, and more easily to stimulate the students’learning motivation. During practice teaching, the perception of working environment, the professional and career planning skills will be enhanced with the student’s personal experiences.In this paper, the exploratory factor analysis method is used to study the tourism management professional practice teaching model. In addition, a survey about the importance and satisfaction of tourism management majors’practice teaching is conductedamong seniors (and some juniors) of9universities. By using IPA analysis method, we summarized the practice index system from three aspects and get some conclusions as follows:First,A tourism management professional practice teaching index system contains six plates,25indicators factors.Second,The performance of25index factors of the importance and satisfaction is: the average scores of the satisfaction is lower than the importance;Both are still between the "general" to "more important"("more satisfactory").Third, According to analysis of the importance and satisfaction of the6plates,we can see that:The school of professional skills and practice have the highest score, the lowest score is professional research and practice.Fourth, The results of the nine colleges and universities show that:In terms of importance and satisfaction perception, A class of undergraduate colleges scored an average of more than two college score.The research innovations are as follows:This article embarks from the practical problems of the construction of the tourism management,which try to construct the index system of practical teaching in tourism management with quantitative method. The selected topic is novel.second,by means of the dual importance index system of satisfaction survey,introduced four quadrant of IPA analysis,it is the first time that such a method is introduced into the torism teaching field,which is the innovation.
