FAST’s Flexible Manufacturing Organization Project Design And Implementation

With the rapid development in science and information technology, it has becomeshorter in production cycles and more complex in market environment. And forstate-owned machinery manufacturers, the traditional-style production managementfunctions is facing enormous challenges. In order to effectively deal with the challenges,more and more machinery manufacturing enterprises begin to pay attention to projectmanufacturing management. Original enterprise organizational structure is needed to beadjusted to accommodate the new manufacturing management mode. There is asubstantial theoretical research about enterprise project management, however, it existsinadequate in the research for design and implementation of flexible organizationalstructures in the state-owned manufacturing machinery manufacturing enterprise.Therefore, it is important to carry out the research in project management andorganizational structure in the state-owned machinery manufacturing enterprises.Combined with the related theoretical knowledge in project management methodsand organizational change theory, this paper took FAST company in Chengdu for anexample. The research was based on the characteristic of production management inFAST company and sorted out the mode of production organization by combined withthe idea of project management, in order to seek an agile production management. Byusing this mode, customer demands could be achieved. Firstly, the related factors foreffecting strategy development in FAST company were analyzed, it conclude that it wasnecessary to carry out project management in FAST company. And then, the flexibleorganization structure, processes, systems and support systems for projectmanufacturing model in FAST company were proposed. Finally, the implementationplan in project structure system in FAST company was determined and the obstacles andrisk control measures were carried out.It had provided references for our innovation and useful ideas in enterprisemanagement mode by this paper’s researches in how to face the complex internal andexternal environment of traditional management model for the state-owned machinerymanufacturing enterprises. Meanwhile, it had a certain reference value in projectmanagement implementation in FAST company.
