The Business Development Strategies Of A Company In The Area Of M&E Maintenance Service For Foreign Banks

Facility management is an emerging industry in China. It has great potential. The foreign banks such as Citigroup established specialized business departments to undertake the facility management after they entered into China. Electromechanical equipment maintenance has relatively high technical content and strong professional in the facility management. It is paid close attention to by the foreign banks. As the subsidiary of A Group (Fortune500companies), A Company has been committed to transforming to service supplier from the equipment supplier all the time. By the virtue of great technical strength and wide service network, A Company has strong competitiveness in the domain of electromechanical maintenance business, and also it has sound development all the time. However, in recent years, due to the change of social environment, the business expansion of A Company has met the bottleneck. So, its development has been hindered. This paper adopts the electromechanical maintenance business domain of the foreign banks as the research object. It carries out in-depth research and analysis, so as to provide some valuable suggestions for A Company.This paper builds the general framework according to the enterprise strategic management model of J.David Hunger and Thomas L.Wheelen. First of all, it makes detailed analysis on the electromechanical maintenance business of the foreign banks. Then, it analyzes the status of A Company in term of this business (including advantages and disadvantages of own resource, customer demands, opportunities and threat in the external environment, etc.), and formulate development-based business strategy. With regard to the formulation of the business strategy, SWOT analysis is adopted. Later, it draws up the implementation plan of the new business strategy, and makes summary and analysis.Finally, it is expected that the research of this paper can provide favorable thought for A Company on the development of electromechanical maintenance business of foreign banks.
