With the rapid development of China Automotive industry, the competition in the domestic Auto parts market (including the Automotive Chemical material market) has become increasingly fierce, How to rapidly develop good new products to meet the market needs became the core competition force of the enterprise. The new product development process is the key one for Auto parts supplier, which impacts the new product cycle, quality, development cost, reasonable, perfect and high performance develop process of new product contributes the market competition force of the enterprises.This article is based on the D chemical bulk material company in automotive industry, and analyst the existing product development process of D company in detail. In the meanwhile to systematically introduce the current new product development process management model on domestic and oversea market, this article focus on the Stage-Gate System, and optimize the process to implement it into D company after combining the actual situation. With generally considering the automotive industry and chemical material features, the article redesigns the new product development process, different management to different new product development project, this may lead to short cycle time, allocating resources efficiently, improving the new product quality stability and safety, and elevating the success rate in new product development.Would expect this theory and case study on D company could be used as reference for other automotive bulk chemical material companies or other enterprises in their new product development activities.
