Machinery manufacturing, as one of the important basic industries, is traditional industry in China. Heating equipment manufacturing belongs to the machinery manufacturing. WeiYe, as a heating equipment manufacturing company with good reputation, however comes across bottlenecks of obsolete product, market developing with difficulty and the like. The purpose of this research is seeking the way out, upgrading products and overcoming problems at such circumstances. The article focuses on the study of making development strategies which consists of5parts:status of research on developing strategy as well as related theories, analysis of internal and external environment for WeiYe, securities for strategy formulation and implementation.First, the article introduces the theoretical tools of development strategy. It will be used in the follow. Then, the article combs the relevant basis theoretical for the development of enterprise development strategiesAfter that, the paper uses PEST to analyze external environment of WeiYe. That is for reveals the WeiYe company’s external environment conditions. Then, the paper applies the Michael Porter’s five forces model to analyze WeiYe’s industry’s environmental. That is in order to in-depth analyze the competitions of WeiYe. Following, the paper analyzes the internal resources of WeiYe, and obtains the advantages and disadvantages ability of WeiYe.Through the above analysis, the paper applies of SWOT analysis to formulate thecompetitive strategy and business development strategy of WeiYe. It should use product and market expansion strategy which belong growth development strategy.And on the strategic level of competition, WeiYe should use differentiation strategy as based, supplemented by overall cost leadership strategy.Finally, the paper proposes4strategic safeguards. It is including of: establishment of flat innovative organizational structure, technological innovation strategy, talent strategy, strengthen the marketing team, strengthen and establish a sound internal control mechanisms.
