The System Elements Research Of MICE Industry Development In Shanxi Province

In a trend of increasingly economic globalization and the integrated development, theMICE industry has boomed as a new form of industry. More and more countries andregions have fully grown the MICE industry to promote national or local economicdevelopment with the exhibition’s advantage called "low energy consumption, zeropollution". In recent years, Shanxi Province has made some gains and effectivenessunder the guidance of Transition-across Development Strategy to develop the MICEindustry. However, compared with developed areas in domestic and internationalcountries which have mature MICE industry, Shanxi Province still has a large gap andexposes some problems to be solved in the development process.This paper selects the perspective of the industrial development, deeply analyzes thesystem elements which will impact the development of MICE industry, including basicelement, the demand factor, organizational element and support element. The objectiveis to nail down the internal rules of the development of the MICE industry. Combiningwith the present situation of the MICE industry in Shanxi Province and taking theexperience of the developed areas at home and abroad, the paper strives for the effectivedevelopment countermeasures in Shanxi Province. For MICE industry to realize thequality and efficiency, it offers the theoretical basis to guide the comprehensivepromotion, the orientation, development and construction of the MICE industry inShanxi. Finally，achieve the healthy and efficient development of the MICE industryaround the city. In this paper, there are three innovation points: first, choose theperspective of industrial economics, analyze the module of the MICE industrydevelopment system, explore its development conditions and dynamic mechanism.Second, clarify the path dependence of this industry by analyzing the exhibitiondeveloped areas, mainly Germany, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Third, closely combinethe development system elements theory with Shanxi’s situation by adopting themethod of empirical analysis and normative analysis, in order to provide some guidanceand reference for the development of MICE industry in Shanxi Province and otherareas. The author starts writing after referring to a large number of relevant literatures andparticipating in social investigation. During the analysis of the argument process, theauthor uses case analysis method and the combination of qualitative and quantitativemethods, bring some important conclusions: the government and other fields need torediscover and attach great importance to the related industry leading role of MICEindustry. Promote the development of this industry by the global strategy and scientificplanning. Correctly play the role of the government, industry associations andexhibition enterprises to improve the mechanism of the MICE organization. And inorder to achieve the transformation across the development of regional economy,optimize the related service, accelerate the construction of exhibition information, andcreate famous brand exhibition activities.
