A Study Of The Impacts Of Urbanization And Industrialization Upon The Urban-Rural Coordination In Chongqing City

Since the reform and opening up, the level of industrialization and urbanization has been improving rapidly in China, Urban-rural has also appeared a new appearance.However, the gap of City and countryside is Showing a tendency to expand, and the Urban-rural dual structure has not been significantly improved, so the Urban-rural development still has a long way to go.Urban-rural development is not only related with policies, but also closely associated with industrialization and urbanization, so it is necessary to clarify the intrinsic relationship among the three from an academic point of view. Therefore, this paper takes Chongqing as an empirical study, and brings the industrialization, urbanization and urban-rural coordination into the same research system, so that reveals the Influence and Mechanism on Impact of Urbanization and Industrialization upon the urban-Rural Coordination,enrichs theory of urban-rural coordination,and Provides development proposals for Chongqing.On the basis of carding theoretical achievement at home and abroad as well as considering the situation in Chongqing area, this paper respectively builds evaluation system of industrialization, urbanization and urban-rural coordinate evaluation systems.Use JunFangChaQunZhi methods to Calculate the weight of each index as well as the composite score of industrialization, urbanization and urban-rural coordinate. On this basis, evaluates the current situation of industrialization, urbanization and urban-rural in Chongqing. By constructing the VAR model, this paper measures the relationship among industrialization, urbanization and urban-rural, can draw the following conclusions:Firstly, there is a negative correlation between industrialization and urban-rural Coordination.However, the urbanization plays a Positive effect in Stimulating urban and rural development. Granger causality test shows that there is a Mutual Granger causality between urbanization and urban and rural.what’s more, the industrialization has not Granger cause to urban-rural Coordination, while urban-rural Coordination has Granger cause to industrialization.Besids, impulse response analysis shows that Chongqing’s urban-rural development has a cumulative effect.Moreover, the urban-rural’s level is sensitive to urbanization as well as industrialization’s level In the short term.Secondly, each individualindicators which stand for the level of industrialization and urbanization have different effect to urban-rural development.On the one hand, in industrialized indicator system, the indexes of Industrial value added to GDP and energy consumption per unit of GDP showes a negative relationship to urban-rural. While some indexes such as The growth rate of industrial added value, labor productivity, Overall efficiency of the index of industrial enterprises, light weight ratio of main business revenue play a positive role in promoting urban-rural Coordination. On the other hand, in Urbanization system,some indexes such as the proportion of tertiary industry employment to total employment, urban per capita GDP, the number of teachers per thousand urban per capita area of paved roads can promote urban and rural development.Thirdly, the Influence that Industrialization, urbanization impact on urban-rural is achieved through the three paths:"structural transformation-improving efficiency" Path,"Urban Development-an increase in employment" Path.So it asks for Chongqing r vigorously optimize the industrial structure and give full play to the leading role of industry to rural areas.Meanwhile, vigorously develop the rural industrialization and break the dilemma of Rural industrial hollowing.Besides, Chongqing needs to deepen reform in Land, household, finance, banking, etc,so that provides a powerful indemnification for urban and rural coordination.This paper made an appropriate innovation in building standard system, Selecting variables and measurement methods,it is not only ensure the authenticity of the research process and results,but also dose to some extent compensate for the lack of previous studies.Meanwhile,this paper only researched the relationship among industrialization, urbanization and urban-rural coordinate from the perspective of the time series, Did not analyze their spatial differentiation, thus there is a large research space.
