In China, most of the agricultural economics forms are traditional crops farming, which is over-reliance on market regulation, slow on reaction, blind in production and lacks of scientific and effective guidance. To accelerate the development of Chinese agriculture, the smooth of information technology is extremely important. E-commerce brings new vitality for agricultural development.CT is a agricultural third-party B2B e-commerce platform build by GD Company in2009. All along, CT is be positioned as a public service platform by GD Company. Recently, GD Company plans to launch premium products in CT Platform to achieve the platform’s market-oriented operation and get considerable commercial profits. In such a critical transition period, CT Platform needs a viable new strategic plan urgently.This paper firstly uses PEST and Five Forces Competitive Model analyzes CT’s external environment. The result is there are more opportunities than threats for CT. Then the paper analyzes CT Platform and GD Company’s internal environment, the CT platform, results despite the current advantages outweigh the disadvantages, but their internal resources and capabilities are not be use completely. The thesis uses SWOT model to match CT’s internal and external environment and draw four alternative strategies. The thesis evaluate alternative strategies and draw decision:short-term strategy is ST strategy; long-term strategy change to SO strategy. Finally, the paper gives safeguards implementation of the strategy.
