With the new technology wave sweeping the globe, countries will focus on fosteringthe development of independent innovation capability regarded national corecompetitiveness. The high-tech industry as a strategic industry knowledge-intensiveindustries and countries, which carries the important mission of technological innovation.Since the1990s, foreign direct investment (FDI) pouring into our country, so far Chinahas become the largest developing country in the world to attract foreign investment, andhigh-tech fields is one of the key areas for foreign investment. In2006, China began toimplement innovative country strategy, independent technology innovation as the core ofnational development strategies, and will foster high-tech industry to become one of thekey areas of national independent technology innovation. Thus, the high-tech industryindependent innovation capability is the core competitiveness of China’s future economicdevelopment.Based on the digestion and absorption of research results on the basis of domesticand foreign scholars, focuses on the mechanism of action and the impact of factors oninternational direct investment in high-tech industry of independent innovation, andanalyzes the impact of foreign direct investment on China’s high-tech industrydevelopment and independent technology Status innovation. Conducting analysis on thebasis of the status quo, using quantitative analysis. we use the high-tech industry in19industries in the2002-2011panel data to study the impact of FDI on China’s independentinnovation capability of enterprises. The results show that foreign investment in researchfunding domestic enterprises had a positive role model, but negative competitive effectsoffset the positive impact it brings foreign domestic enterprises independent innovationcapability. The introduction of foreign technology costs internally funded enterprisesindependent innovation capability is not significantly affected. Meanwhile, domesticenterprises and the average size of R&D funding should have a positive impact on theirown independent technology innovation. In conclude, Based on improving the digestionand absorption of advanced technology capabilities, the development of independentinnovation capability needs of domestic-funded enterprises continue to increase fundingfor independent research and should expand the scale of operation of their ownbusinesses.
