Compared with traditional independent R&D and innovation, focusing on collaborative innovation and technology imitation in an open innovation environment is an effective way to improve innovation performance and achieve innovation-driven development strategies.Using the provincial panel data of China's high-tech industry from 2009 to 2016,this paper explores the influences and differences of independent R&D,collaborative innovation and technology imitation on technology-oriented and market-oriented innovation performance under the open innovation environment, and further study the interaction effects between the three modes, and consider the differences between the regions to conduct empirical research, and consider the spatial spillover effect based on the multi-dimensional proximity perspective. The results show that: overall,technology-oriented innovation performance mainly depends on independent research and development, collaborative innovation and technology imitation also play a role, complementing the independent research and development function;market-oriented innovation performance also mainly depends on independent research and development, and technology-oriented Innovative innovation plays a greater role in market-oriented innovation than independent research and development;good absorption capacity of enterprises is conducive to better function of collaborative innovation and technological imitation. The effect of technology imitation and the interactive effect of independent research and development and collaborative innovation on improving innovation performance varies greatly from region to region;technology-oriented innovation performance has a significant positive spatial spillover effect, which is geographically similar and economically characteristic compared to geographic proximity The similarity has a greater spatial correlation effect on the technological innovation process, and there is a significant negative spatial spillover effect of market-oriented innovation performance.R&D manpower plays an important role in improving technology-oriented innovation performance and market-oriented innovation performance, but there are differences between regions.
