Today’s society goes into the information age, and information technology industry (ITindustry) has become the industry which has the largest potential with the development ofinformation technology, also become the most competitive industry. The competitivenessof enterprises lies on the human resource competition. The company which has goodhuman resource grasps the initiative in the market. Enterprises in order to retain the bestpeople need to know about their work life satisfaction. The sales staff is the largest group ofhighly mobility of corporate human resources. The IT industry’s sales staffs are highlyeducated and have the high-tech knowledge. They have the characteristics of ordinary salesstaff and knowledge workers, and their presence is crucial to the development of the ITindustry. Therefore, trying to understand the condition of Tianjin region’s IT industry salesemployee satisfaction, employee satisfaction surveys was carried out, and this paper aims tohelp managers to improve the management system and employee satisfaction, to helpcompanies retain good sales staff, and improve the core competitiveness.First, in this study,the author use the literature research,businessinterviews,questionnaires,statistical analysis and other research methods on the intergrated.The domestic and foreign research status on employee satisfaction is analyzed andsummarized on the basis of the employee satisfaction research data. Former studies onemployee satisfaction often start from portrait to select one or more complete business ororganization as the object of study, but cross-sectional study of a group of is small, so thisstudy has some theoretical significance. This paper select the IT industry which gained therapid development in recent years as a source of study sample, select the IT industry’s salesstaff to do the employee satisfaction research.To a certain extent they reflect theknowledge-based sale staff satisfaction situation, so this study has some practicalsignificance.In this paper, through the usage of a questionnaire survey, the IT industry’s sales staffsatisfaction empirical research was carried out. In the design of the research model, thispaper refer to lot of satisfaction measurement paper, and ultimately chose the more matureoverseas development Job Satisfaction Scale (JSS) for the basic model and also refer to thedomestic achievements by Yuwen Yang (2010) who localized the satisfaction scale andretained the five satisfaction dimensions suitable for China’s national conditions.In addition, in order to enable this survey more closer to the employees so haspractical significance, before designing the questionnaire, interviews with the staff selectedwas conducted. During the interview process, through exchanges with the sales staffs andmanagers, the author learned that the IT industry sales staffs are more concerned about the problems at work. In addition to the focus on pay and benefits, promotion, interpersonal,they also place more emphasis on training and career development, work and rest time, theprospects for the development of industry and enterprise, and hope to obtain the sense ofbelonging in the enterprise. Therefore, in a text questionnaire model, the author addedseveral other factors which reflect the IT industry sales staff employee satisfaction. In thispaper, nine dimensions of the employee satisfaction are proposed. They are the future of thecompany, the boss, promotion, the remuneration, career development, the work itself,relationship between colleagues, working conditions and sense of belonging.After the preliminary questionnaire was designed, a small range of pre-test was taken,and under the experts’ guidance, the formal questionnaire was formed. Data was collectedthrough the questionnaires, and then was organized. In this paper, the statistical analysistool SPSS19.0was used to analyze the reliability and validity of the questionnaire and byfactor analysis the dimensions of the questions in the questionnaire were examined. Finally,the overall satisfaction of the IT industry sales staff was gained by analyzing thequestionnaire data and the analysis of the different demographic variables’ impact onemployee satisfaction was presented.Through the analysis of the research in this article, it turns out that the the sales staff ofthe IT industry in Tianjin is basically satisfied, but the satisfaction level to the boss, careerdevelopment, sense of belonging, the working conditions and other dimensions ofsatisfaction is low. In the population statistical variables population, academicqualifications, age, the working office, etc., will produce different impact on the staffsatisfaction. This article makes a detailed analysis about it.Finally, this paper summarizes six problems of the IT industry enterprises in staffmanagement, and puts forward opinions and suggestions about the improvement ofemployee satisfaction of the sales staff in the IT industry. To improve the employeesatisfaction has a significant impact on the development of enterprises, and domestic andinternational studies have shown that high satisfaction businesses often have a high level ofcustomer satisfaction and profitability, thereby increasing the enterprise employeesatisfaction has important practical significance. At the end of the article, the author putforward the deficiencies and loopholes which exist in this article. Sales staff satisfactionmodels in IT industry and the analysis methods can also be carried out some more in-depthresearch, and this paper put forward some suggestions for future research.
