Since the21st century, the international economic and financialcompetition increased day by day,the competition of banks from Hardwarecompetition is gradually increased to software,the gap between rich and poor ofsocial goods gradually increased,a waste of social resources,the deteriorationof ecological environment,commercial fraud and so on, such bad socialsituations make the banks have a new understanding of the importance of socialresponsibility,the commercial bank is no longer blindly rely on the profitmaximization to raise their competition,but from technical level rise to ethicallevel, enhance social identity, social trust and support from stakeholderperspective so as to enhance their core competition.So the16listed commercialbanks how to maintain the relationship with stakeholders in the fierceinternational competition to raise their competitiveness when have rapidgrowth,casuing more and more attention between investories and managers.Based on the theory about social responsibility of commercial banks, thispaper defined commercial banks social responsibility in five dimensionsincluding customers, employees, shareholders, communities, and thegovernment. From financial perspective has carried on the quantitative toanalyze the social responsibility, established the index system of socialresponsibility, also building an index system of commercial bank corecompetition from a financial point. analyzed the present situation of16listedcommercial banks in China to perform the social responsibility and present situation of promoting core competitiveness,again analyzed mechanism aboutthe commercial banks social responsibility how to affect the corecompetition.based on the financial date from2008-2012,using the factoranalysis method to rank the Score to the commercial banks social responsibility,also using the factor analysis method to calculate the comprehensive score asThe dependent variable, research the the relationship between socialresponsibility and the core competition by empirical analysis. Through theresearch it discovered that commercial banks performing the socialresponsibility has positive effect on promoting the core competition. Finally,this paper put forward the advice of enhance the core competition under theperspective of social responsibility.
