Knowledge has become the important source in enterprises during the knowledgeeconomy globalization. The main challenge of the enterprise innovation strategy washow to use the knowledge to achieve continuous technical innovation. Professors suchas Lundvall has divided the learning innovation into STI mode (science, technology,innovation) and DUI mode (doing, using, interacting), which means learninginnovation based on science and experience separately. Scholars such as Jensen,theresearch focuses on STI/DUI learning and enterprise’s technological innovationperformance. Nevertheless, Figueiredo has started to enterprise’s technologicalaccumulation and technological level, considering the time scale (speed) oftechnological accumulation since2002. And domestic existing researches, on the onehand, ignored the interaction of a variety of learning modes, on the other hand,researching on capability advance, lacked of technological learning about howbehavior affects the system research of the evolution of enterprise’s technologicalcapabilities. According to the equipment manufacturing enterprises’ technologicalcapabilities advance facing the urgency of ascension, considering the time scale, thisPaper discusses STI/DUI learning on the influence of technological capabilities totransition.The main content of this article, including:1) Dual embedded of STI/DUIlearning have any impact on enterprises’ technological capabilities to transition;2)Enterprises how to promote technological capabilities to transition by dual embeddedof STI/DUI learning. Focusing on the two aspects, this paper presents the initialresearch propositions after exploratory case study, and then putts forward the conceptmodel and hypothesis, and last use statistical methods to empirical test.Through in-depth theoretical analysis and empirical study, the main conclusionsare as follows:1) STI/DUI learning has positive influence on the technologicalcapabilities to transition;2) STI and DUI learning has interaction effect ontechnological capabilities to transition;3) There is a big difference between the different types of technological capabilities transition speed.
