Port Of Economy And Regional Development Of Economic Interaction

Retrospecting the history of urban development since China’s reform and opening up, it can be found that port cities developed relatively fast, and these cities have made great contribution to China’s economic development. The development of port can promote not only the development of the port city, but also the development of the surrounding area. Since China’s reform and opening up, port exerts a great pole in the course of developing of area economy. Port economy can promote the development of regional economic structure optimization, the upgrading of regional industrial structure and the deeper development of the economy; conversely, the scope and level of city economy development directly affect the scale and depth of port economic development. The scientific community also digs deeper into relationship between the two.This paper explores the intrinsic relationship between the port economy and regional economy from theoretical and empirical aspect. The author first elaborates the connotations of port economy and regional economy, analyzes the relationship between the port economy and the regional economy, and theoretically explores the intrinsic relationship between the port and the regional economy. Then by studying the example of Zhoushan port economy and regional economy, the author empirically analyzes the intrinsic relationship between the port economy and the regional economy, and some proposals to the follow-up development of the two are brought forward. Finally, for optimizing the industrial structure, strengthening the functions of government services, and developing competitive industries, the author proposes some suggestions for port economy and regional economic development.
