Virtual prototype technology is a new design method that can simulate the actualcondition of machine and be equivalent to the testing process in the traditional design. Toa large extend, it can shorten design period, save design cost and improve design quality.For the severe energy situation of China, the research on deep sea oil drilling platformtechnology can improve the ability of offshore drilling, which playing an import role indevelopment of offshore oil and making great sense for the economic development.Around the virtual prototype technology, this paper researches on the design methodof the jack-up drilling platform. We design the normative modeling method and proposethe reasonable simulation method to research on structure parameters optimization methodof jack-up platform and semi-physical simulation method.First of all, we research on the optimization method of cant angle in jack-up drillingplatform locking device based on virtual prototype technology. Based on multi-bodydynamics theory, the platform is established in the ADAMS, which is used for simulation.The optimization method of cant angle in locking device is proposed which is based onleast square method.And then, we research on the optimization method of friction coefficient on jack-updrilling platform locking rack based on virtual prototype technology. Based on finiteelement method, the locking rack is modeling in the HYPERWORKS. The optimizationmethod of friction coefficient on locking rack is proposed which is based on cubic splineinterpolation theory.At last, we research on more innovative application of virtual prototype, and study ofsemi-physical simulation method of jack-up platform. Based on the completed platformlift control system, the virtual prototype model of platform has been established, and thecommunication interface for the two is also set up. Finally the semi-physical simulationfor lifting action of jack-up platform is realized.
