Roller bit, whose working conditions in the bottom are poor, mainly bear axial vibration load, torsional vibration load and lateral vibration load, so the bearing failure often cause the roller bit failure. As the deep and ultra-deep growing, the demand of small size of the roller bit for drilling deep formation is increasing, requiring bearing can adapt to high drilling pressure and high speed. Unfortunately, its extremely limited cloth tooth space and the smaller shell thickness, and the bearing size of teeth claws is relatively small, so for improving the drilling speed, the bearing failure often occurs in the high drilling pressure and high speed. So, the study of bearing structure of the small size roller bit is especially meaningful.The focus of this paper is the small size three-roller bit. A cone bit bearing model, including the teeth, roller and Jaw of drilling bit, is established. The static strength analysis is carried out using the finite element software ABAQUS, and the bearing structure Mises stress and contact pressure distribution are obtained. The fatigue strength of bearing structure is analyzed using the Fe-Safe software, and the structural fatigue life and safety factor of the bearing are gotten. Using DOE technology, according to change the roller bit bearing structure, such as the length and the diameter of the large and small spigot, the research on the structure parameters is carried out, the effect of interaction on the sensitivity of bearing structure parameter sensitivity is analyzed, and according to the impact of changes in the bearing structure parameters on the strength of roller bit bearing, the optimization research has done on bearing structure.Through the above analysis of the roller bit bearing structure, the reasonable bearing structure design parameters are finally obtained, and the influence of structural parameters on bearing static strength and fatigue strength is determined. At last, a reasonable bearing structural design parameters is obtained. So this study is of great meaning to guide the bearing structure design and the development of roller bit.
