Nowadays, in the special construction engineering such as high-speed rail project,nuclear power project and dam project, the straight thread connection technology of rebar is used. But the requirement in quality and efficiency is strict in these projects. The tightening torque of rebar straight thread connection is the key factor that affects the project quality. In order to improve the work efficiency and ensure the quality of the project, it is necessary to develop a professional power-driven tool to ensure reliable connection of rebar and connection sleeve.The mechanical structure of connection sleeve’s automatic connection device was designed by using theoretical design and simulation, and the analysis of the factor that causes vibration of the device was conducted. In the aspect of theoretical design, the main constituents including actuating unit, transmission mechanism, torque adjusting mechanism, reset mechanism and actuator were designed. Tightening torque that exported from the actuating unit was delivered from transmission mechanism to the actuator, so that the actuator could realize the directional rotation of the connection sleeve using open gear and palatal plate, and the torque adjusting mechanism could set the tightening torque of the connection sleeve. In this way, the reliability of the threaded connection could be ensured, and overload could be avoided. In the aspect of simulation, static analysis of the main parts of the actuator was conducted by using ANSYS Workbench. The biggest stress point and the maximal displacement point and their stress value were calculated. In the analysis result, all parts satisfied the strength requirement, and the optimization design was conducted; The dynamic simulation analysis was done with the ANSYS Workbench,and the natural frequency, the mode shape of device, the stress-frequency response curve and the displacement-frequency response curve were god. By analyzing the vibration source frequencies of the device, and combining with the natural frequency of the device and mode shape analysis, the possibility of structure resonance could be confirmed, and the reliability of the device could be confirmed in design phase.Through technical order of rebar mechanical splicing, this device could control tightening torque range in 100~260N·m accurately and real-timely by using the torque limit agency. By using the movable shaft as output institution, this device could clamp steel or connection sleeve range in ? 28 ~ ? 40 mm, and conduct static and dynamic analysis to the online automatic connection device of rebar with the ANSYS Workbench,on the basis of the guarantee strength, the quality of the device was optimized, lightening weight could make workers more safety, portable and fast. The analysis offered data support to the manufacture of the prototype.
