Digital ink jet printing technology is an advanced technology in the field of textile industry, having unparalleled advantages of traditional printing, meeting the eco-friendly production requirements and with broad development prospect, which has gradually become the hot spot of dyeing and printing enterprises and researchers. Disperse dye inks have been paid more attention and developed. Disperse dyes with bright color and good fastness were widely used in printing of polyester and other synthetic fibers. However, the poor ink dispersion stability was easy to block the nozzle and uneven staining on textile for their large particle size, wide particle size distribution and the unstable suspension formed. Therefore, by using ball mill to pulverize the disperse dyes and optimizing the variety and dosage of dispersant, organic solvent, surfactant and other additives to prepare the good dispersion performance and high stability disperse dye inks will have very important significance. The disperse dyes containing cyano have special properties, such as excellent color brilliance, good light stability. In this paper, 4-nitroaniline, 2-chloro-4-nitroaniline, 3-amino-5-nitro-2, 1-benzisothiazole diazo components, N-cyanoethyl-N-benzyl aniline, N-hydroxyethyl-N- cyanoethyl aniline were used as the coupling component, three disperse dyes containing cyano were synthesized, including orange, red, blue color. Their structures were characterized by FT-IR, 1HNMR and elemental analysis. The maximum absorption wavelength of these dyes was determined by UV-Vis and the molar extinction coefficient was calculated. And along with another three selected cyano disperse dyes(disperse orange BROB, disperse red 902, disperse blue 825) to use for preparation of inks.In the preparation of disperse dye inks, the effect of the dispersants for dyes grinding refinement was investigated. The results showed that the prepared disperse dye ink which the 8%(w/w) anionic/anionic composite dispersant MF-85 A was used has good dye nano particle size distribution, the particle size was around 200 nm and the value of the Zeta potential was about-50 mV. The diethylene glycol, ethylene glycol, 1,4-butanediol, glycerin was added to the ink, respectively. The effects of the four polyol on the shear rheology, viscosity and moisture retention of ink disperse system were studied. The results indicated that the viscosity was 2~3 mPa·s and the moisture retention was higher 10% when ethylene glycol was added in the ink. The variation of ink viscosity was minimum and the disperse system was the closest Newtonian fluid. These indicated that the disperse system was relatively stable, the flocculation wouldn’t occur and the mobility was good.Penetrant T, XL-70, TO8 were be used to adjust the ink surface tension and wettability. Dynamic surface tension of the surfactants on ink, polyester fabric printing color yield and permeability, the contact angle, particle size and Zeta potential were tested. The results showed that 0.64% surfactant XL-70 was more effectively, which significantly reduced the surface tension of the ink, the K/S value of printed polyester fabric was 8.8, the transmittance was 12%, the solubilization effect of disperse dyes was obviously, and the wetting effect was good. The polyester fabrics which printed by the prepared disperse ink had good performances.Using the optimal process to prepare the inks of disperse dyes D-1, D-2, D-3, orange BROB, disperse red 902 and disperse blue 825, respectively. And comparing with the commercial inks of disperse yellow, disperse red and disperse blue. The results showed that the six cyano disperse dye inks are all meet the requirements of inkjet printing. The K/S values of the inkjet printed polyester fabircs are slightly higher than the commercial inks, and all the color fastness are good.
