Compared with traditional metal and light alloys, fiber-reinforced composite have a broad application in the aerospace, automotive and other fields, due to their higher specific strength, higher specific modulus, better fatigue resistant property and designability of materials and lay-up, etc. 3D Tubular Carbon Fiber Fabric are weaved by circular loom, so the research of 3D Tubular Carbon Fiber Weaving Equipment has great significance.The task of this thesis is to improve the shedding mechanism of the 3D circular loom, which was developed by Donghua University. The aim is to prolong the shedding time and, reduce interference between the warp and the shuttle, increase the size of the shuttle by replacing the harness lever with the electronic pin of Electronic Jacquard.Main contents of the research include:(1) Propose two designs for lifting heald of shedding mechanism, analyze their advantages and disadvantages, and finally select the way of subtended griffe powered by electronic jacquard method.(2) Determine the layout of the new circular loom on the condition of –affording good observation, field operation for the operators.(3) Design the key components, such as electronic pin component, comber board, down-pull element, cam-swing link and cam. The optimization of the cam profile could reduce heald lifting time and prolong the shedding standing time.(4) 3D modelling and motion simulation with SolidWorks software.
