Multistage centrifugal atomization super gravity rotating packed bed, also known as overweight machine, rotating packed bed, has been continuously developed since the last century. Super gravity rotating packed bed has the advantages of high heat and mass transfer efficiency, less material consumption, small volume, simple structure, and small gas resistance, and has been applied in many aspects. In the liquid phase mass transfer process. it is often used as absorption and distillation tower equipment. Entrainment is one of the most common mechanical properties of the absorption tower. In the inside of super gravity rotating packed bed, the generation of a large number of fine mist can increase gas-liquid mass transfer area, thus greatly enhanced the mass transfer between the gas and liquid, but at the exit of the equipment, the mist must to be cleaned up by effective methods, so as to avoid the loss of absorbent and environment pollution.Because the super gravity rotating packed bed using stainless steel wire mesh to clean up the mist, the material is similar to the aluminium foil for air conditioner, both are the metal substrate. So this paper proposes to prepare one kind of hydrophilic coating which could be dip coated on the rotating bed stainless steel wire mesh, as well as being able to resisting heat and corrosion. Thus improve the screen’s ability to capture the droplet’s and the deentrainment ability of high gravity rotating packed bedThe experiment is proposed for the first time to copolymerize monomers hydroxypropyl acrylate(HPA) and hydrophilic monomer of acrylic acid(AA), acrylamide(AM) of ternary copolymer on the basis of the former research. The proper polymerization method, optimum initiator, cross-linking agent, surface active agent and its dosage were selected, and the monomer ratio, reaction time and temperature, curing time and temperature factors on product contact angle, adhesion, water resistance, and resistance temperature performance impact were studied. Experimental results show that the best reaction conditions are as follows: the amount of initiator is 0.1%, the molar amount of AA is 50%, reaction time is 5 h, the reaction temperature is 30 ℃. The optimal reaction conditions are obtained and the performance testing are tested under such conditions, such as UV, IR, TG/DSC, contact angle, adhesion, hardness, surface morphology and so on.Eventually dip coating the hydrophilic coating on the metal wire mesh, and compared the antifogging effect with that of uncoated metal wire mesh and nylon mesh in different condition of screen type, screen layer, super gravity rotating bed speed and liquid flow in rotating packed bed. The experimental results show that the coating of the hydrophilic coating for stainless steel wire mesh in antifogging effects is similar to nylon mesh, with droplet diameter significantly reduced, and antifogging effect compared to the uncoated significantly increased.
