With social progress and quick development in living standards, People begin to pay more attention to a healthy, cozy, and green lifestyle. Thus, customers have much requirements on cloth comfort, especially for the so-called “human’s second skin”- touch comfort of underwear. Specialized in knitted underwear, Shanghai Threegun Group Company, an old state-owned enterprise, has formed its own brand by continuous renewal and featuring its advantages, after years of constant development. Facing with market demand, for making Threegun’s underwear more attractive, keeping pace with fashion, and catering to customers’ requirements for soft, elastic, comfort underwear, Shanghai Threegun Group Company’s factories have made in-depth research on how to improve touch comfort of knitted underwear.On account of these requirements and phenomenon, combine the previous scientific research, the subject program has been identified: aiming at the research for touch comfort of Threegun’s knitted underwear, the test and analysis on relative performance of knitted underwear:Firstly, reading relevant literature concerning touch comfort of underwear and the related information about Threegun, as well as combining the present production situation of the company for knowing the company’s underwear processing technology, discussing the factors that affect the technique, defining the preliminary test plan, and verifying the process experiments from theoretical and experimental aspects.Secondly, according to the experimental plan initially identified, analyzing the 12 new products of Threegun Group. After test and analysis on tensile resilience, friction, drape and crease recovery, and drapability of the 12 new products, the factors that affect touch comfort of knitted underwear. These factors are the weave, yarn thickness, finishing way.Thirdly, after finishing the objective test, in regard to underwear fabric, a questionnaire has been made for subjective assessment. Through comparative analysis for the the results of subjective assessment and objective testing, the relations between the two has been reached and we find that they are generally the same.Fourthly, conducting a single factor test on fabric count to analyze the degrees it affects touch comfort of the fabric. Besides, in accordance with the feasibility analysis, conducting an orthogonal experimental design aiming at fabric weave, the thickness of yarn, finishing mode. Then combining the result of orthogonal experiment and orthogonal effect curvilinear to get the optimal fabric parameters.The optimal fabric parameters are when fabric weave is double rib,the thickness of yarn is 40 s and the finishing mode is softener.Fifthly, analyzing and testing optimal parameter, and summarizing the experimental results of this research. Finally, bringing forward the innovation and deficiency of the experiment.
