Under the heavy commend of Energy-saving, emission reduction and low-carbon, It is became a hot spot to research pure electric vehicles all the world. Some big car companies have come out pure electric vehicles, However, there is a long way for pure electric vehicles entering the commercialization. So hybrid cars comes out.there are a variety of hybrid cars into commercial operation, which with very good results and technology is mature. China is a big contry of motorcycle production and use,So it is of great importance to research and development of hybrid motorcycle. The article proposes a parallel hybrid motorcycle design, which has two hybrid drive system independently:behind wheel with gasoline engine drive, and front wheel with elctrical drive. The two drive are able to work separately or together. The article develops parallel hybrid electric motor control systems using LPC935single-chip, achieves five working models of motor-driven, engine-driven, dual power-driven and braking energy recovery, and power switch. Handle of control system select the most appropriate mode based on vehicle speed, acceleration, brake pedal, throttle opening position signals driven by optimization of control parameters. The article completes the test prototypes and control systems, validation of hybrid power motorcycle technology performance by road test. Results show that the control systems can judgment and determine the right drive model from signal parameters, the motorcycle can be in simple operation, smooth running, good security, and has more advantages in urban and rural road conditions, vehicle high and low-speed driving conditions, and low fuel consumption, low carbon, low emissions of harmful gases, good dynamic performance and battery life.
