As the fourth generation of green light source, LED has the advantages of energysaving, environmental protection, longevity, small volume and so on. With thecontinuous improvement of luminous efficacy and continuous falling of price, theLED lamps will trigger a revolution in the field of lighting, and will gradually replacetraditional lighting lamps. However, the traditional LED packaging methods can notachieve360degree light, and the part of the light energy is absorbed. Especially itfails to make full use of the omni light of LED chip. We can use some new packagingway to strengthen the utilization rate of light of LED chip. LED chip can bepackaged with transparent substrate of glass, sapphire, or transparent ceramic. Thisomni LED light source is also called LED filament. Since high-power incandescentbulbs have beenprohibited to produce, LED filament is expected to replace tungstenfilament, and become a new generation of energy-saving LED bulbs.In this research, weuse glass, metal, ceramic and sapphire as packaging materialand prepare a series of LED filaments.we study the influence of current, substratematerials and phosphorpowder ratio on the properties of the LED filament bymeasuring the optoelectric parameters of LED filament. The experiment results showthat the electrical current will influence the color temperature and rendering index ofthe LED filaments; the luminous efficicacywill decrease and the luminous flux willincrease first and then decrease when the current increases; The sapphire performanceis relatively optimal among the substrate materials.; In order to get LED filament ofhigh rendering index and the appropriate color temperature, we have the rightproportion of the yellow,red and green phosphore.
