Saving energy and reducing loss have a brilliant future power distribution network inChina.According to statistics,the power loss of10kV distribution net are larger than othervoltage grade. The power loss of distribution transformer accounted for80%the total loss ofdistribution network. Therefore replaced the high loss transformer in distribution network isone of the main ways to reduce power loss of distribution network. So far, energy savinganalysis of power transformer are mostly confined to replace the single transformer andmissing transformer energy saving potential analysis from the grid point.This paper carry outrelated research work in China Southern Power Grid.The main ways to reduce the power loss of distribution transformer are includingupdated and transformation of high energy consumption of transformer,developed the savingenergy transformer. In this paper, by using the overallanalysis of distribution transformerenergy used in China Southern Power Grid, Collect the basic data, analysis and research asfollows:a)collected and analysis of power grid transmission loss of China Southern Power Grid;b) analyzed the amorphous alloy distribution transformer principle, tests andapplications;c)calculated and analyzed distribution transformer energy efficiency potential of ChinaSouthern Power Grid;d) analyzed various technical and economic evaluation method of distributiontransformer, proposed the technical and economic evaluation method in China SouthernPower Grid, and verified it by practical cases.From a more macroscopical point,it is more meaningful to analyze transformer energysaving potential from the grid point. At the end, this paper analyzed the theoretical analysisand calculation method which possesses the higher value in application.
