Warship cabin layout design is been treated as an important part of warship generalarrangement design procedure. Well-performed cabin layout design helps to arrange majorequipment and facilities rationally in each deck layer, make sure the design request of on-boardsystems and cabins could be satisfied and cabin functions would work out efficiently. The studyabout parameterization in cabin layout design occupies with much value and practicality. Thispaper broke limitations in traditional cabin layout design works, made good use of theories andmethods in multi-objective evaluation and two-dimensional layout design to seek for feasiblemeasures in cabin layout design evaluation and optimization. Main works and conclusions arelisted as follows:First of all, this paper introduced in detail the basic theories of multi-objective evaluation,as well as two major methods, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy ComprehensiveAssessment (FCA). In the meantime, based on introductions of placement problem and itsresearch status, the paper told about details in theories of Genetic Algorithm (GA), especiallydiscussed about the improvement of the algorithm in accordance with two-dimensional cabinlayout optimization features.Next, taken warship typical living district cabin layout design as the example, the paperanalyzed in detail the characteristics of it, established the evaluation index system, andproposed AHP―FCA Comprehensive Evaluation method to solve the problem.Then, taken the analysis and solution systems of two-dimensional FLP as references, thepaper discussed about features and requests in living district cabin layout design, studied andsimplified the cabin layout, analyzed and established the mathematical model for layoutoptimization problem. An improved Genetic Algorithm was proposed to solve the model, andrelatively best layout scheme was worked out. Through analysis of the problem and applicationof the improved algorithm, it was confirmed that multi-scheme selecting design of warshipcabin layout could be feasible based on simplifying layout model appropriately.All in all, on the basis of researching and learning about references and documents, thepaper took the method of AHP―FCA Comprehensive Evaluation to multi-objectively evaluatethe living district cabin layout, proposed the improved Genetic Algorithm to parameterize andoptimize the cabin layout scheme. The works of this paper put forward new thoughts forparameterization study in the field of warship general arrangement design.
