Household Characteristics And NL Model Based Students Travel Feature And Strategy Analysis

The travel of students is an important part of the urban commuter travel, thestructure of travel students change (mainly with car) brought a great pressure on theurban traffic. increased traffic congestion of the city. For student travel behavior andits characteristics are studied, help to solve the urban traffic pressure, improve thestudent’s travel environment. This paper based on the theory of Nested Logit modeland its method for disaggregate model, focusing on the household characteristics ofprimary and middle school students travel behaviors. Mainly research the influence oftheir personal attributes, household characteristics and trip characteristics to modeschoice. This model is divided two layers，the upper layer include the choose ofpublic and private transportation, the lower layer include the choose of car、motorcycle、bicycle and on foot. By using SPSS to calibrate and taste the model,analyses the influence of family vehicle ownership, family income, ferry the childrento and from school. Consider what influence will make to students travel choice whensome factors change. Through the sensitivity analysis of the main influence factors ofthe model, combining the traffic demand management theory, proposed studentstravel structure optimization strategy, and provides an important reference for theformulation and implementation of travel demand management policy to alleviate thecity traffic congestion.
