Effects Of Built Environment On Students' Travel Behavior In Shenzhen

School travel is a kind of commuting with characteristics of students' travel.More and more evidence shows that students' mode choice of school travel is influenced by built environment,but the research is limited on the field in China.Students' travel behavior is studied,the role of the household and school built environment in school travel is explored,and the intrinsic travel mechanism of students is deeply analyzed in the paper.Based on the data drawn from the 2010 Shenzhen Household Travel Survey,through statistical analysis of students' trip rate,trip purpose,travel time,departure time,travel mode,trip distance,grasp the law of students' travel.The study of factors influencing mode choice in China main includes individual factors,household factors and travel factors,the built environment factors are taken into account to establish four-dimensional factors system on the basis of which,combined with the consolidation of the existing literature,the status quo of Shenzhen and the characteristics of student group to determine indicators for each factor.And Arc GIS analysis module is used to calculate each value of indicator in different traffic zones.It is thought that household built environment has an effect on students' mode choice of school travel in recent study,which is introduced to model variable,and the mixed logit model and the multinomial logit model are established for mode choice of school travel,it is found that the mixed logit model is more suitable by comparison of models,and household built environment significantly influences mode choice of school travel.Existing research also proves mode choice of school travel is influenced by school built environment,so take school build environment into consideration,and establish the mode choice model of school travel.People's latter choice always relates to former choice,so further consider the influence of former mode choice,and build a dynamic multinomial logit model for mode choice of school travel.And it is proved school built environment has an impact on mode choice of school,and the state dependence exists between two mode choices of school travel.Some measures are put forward to improve travel environment for students in Shenzhen.
