With the population aging intensifies, Shenzhen aging population presents a"explosive" growth trend.Therefore, all kinds of facilities for the elderly are verynervous currently in ShenZhen. Community home care is in our pension systemafter the reform of the pension model advocated, which relieving agencies andstate-owned pension family pension pressure plenty. Day care center for communityelderly is an important part of community facilities for the elderly. It mantlyproviding day care services for vulnerable groups of the elderly that is the seniorcitizens lacking of care during the day and the semi-disabled elderly. Day carecenter for community elderly is still in the stage of promotion in various cities ofChina.There is an urgent demand for the use and high research value.Through the research of the elderly and pension status of community,papersstudied for the planning and architectural design methods of Day care center forcommunity elderly in Shenzhen,on the basis of the elderly population andcommunity structure characteristics of Shenzhen.Investigating and supplementarystudies of community-level compact design of facilities for the elderly.First, the dissertation analyses the care models of the oldest-old in Chineseelderly and the issues related to day care centers in community, clears the newdevelopment of community-based care models and social function and the statusquo of the day care center for community elderly in China. Secondly, summarizesspecial structure of Shenzhen elderly population and community through theresearch of the Shenzhen elderly，community and pension status quo.And thencombining with the existing norms and the case studies of United States, Japan,HongKong and other places, it summarizes the function configuration, size andlayout elements projections of the day care center for community elderly inShenzhen, including of classificating the functional spaces of the facility, projectingthe size and layout of the facility.And taking some practical examples to describingdetailly of specific layout in Shenzhen communities.
