Research On Workshop Facility Layout Of RX Company Based On SLP Method

As global competition intensifies, for the manufacturing industry, how to win the fierce competition is particularly important. By reducing the consumption of materials and corporate human to reduce production costs and increase corporate profits is become more and more feasible. Therefore, enterprises should reduce production costs all sides and improve production efficiency. Workshop facility layout is an important part of the workshop production logistics, there is an important relationship between its pros and cons and the productivity of enterprise manufacturing systems, production costs, plant efficiency and production safety. Therefore, the study of plant facilities layout has important practical significance. As a starting point, This article does a research on machine workshop facility layout of Harbin RX company.On the basis of access to the extensive literature, this paper describes the current situation of facilities layout as well as related theoretical knowledge and methods. Then, we collects the basic data of machine workshop of Harbin RX company and analyzes the current situation of the production in machine workshop of Harbin RX company, also, we analyze the logistic for workshop. we identifies existing problems through qualitative and quantitative methods, such as facility layout unreasonable, arbitrary material handling, lack of5S management.For facility layout problem, we use the SLP method of Richard Muther for analysis. First, we collect the basic elements of the workshop and divide operations unit of workshop. Then, we get the relationship between logistics and non-logistics of the operating unit of the workshop by analyzing the logistic squantitative and qualitative analysis of non-logistics analysis. combination of these two relations is to get the integrated relationship workshop, and then we draw a comprehensive relationship based on workshop related to the position of each working unit. Finally, according to the actual situation of the workshop, considering the area of workshop equipment, process requirements and other factors is to determine alternatives.In this paper, using AHP to evaluate alternatives and the original program, the results show that alternatives are better than the original proposal, and ultimately it determine the optimal solution of the workshop.In this paper, with using the related knowledge of facility layout, we optimize facilities layout problems in machine workshop of Harbin RX company. After the workshop facilities layout optimization, improved utilization of workshop area, reduced the number of material handling cross routes, reduced the labor intensity, it improves overall plant productivity, and also it reduces production costs, improves the enterprise economic efficiency, increases competitiveness.
