Following the rushing development of the interconnection of power grid and requirements on data-sharing among power enterprises, the network structures include internal power enterprises and between enterprises are complicated, end-users are increasingly diversified. Distributed Power Flow can solve the problems caused by large scale grid and wide-area distribution data in control centers. But every control center are only responsible for maintaining their own graphics platform and the platform generally prohibit access to external systems. How to provide users with a complete set of graphical browser and operating platform to meet Electric power enterprises’demand of informatization, and achieve the target of sharing graphics and data online has always been a technical problem.SVG, defined by W3C and based on XML description, is two-dimensional vectors graphic format. SVG supports Document Object Model (DOM), and has excellent interactive ability. AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is a new technique in web recently. It can make the web client gets data from server asynchronous, and client will not wait for the request. Given the advantages of SVG and AJAX, this paper uses SVG as the standard graphics formats of this graphic platform, and achieves a standardized SVG exporting from EMS, uses JavaScript for its second development, making the SVG documents has excellent performance in interactive Interactivity. Meanwhile,a model adapted to distributed pwer flow calculation is also built, which is based on the CIM/XML I/O from EMS.This paper will be introduced AJAX as a whole system control center, scheduling server-side scripting language PHP and client-side cripting language JavaScript, to request real-time data and fresh SVG asynchronously. This paper designs and developments a main program for distributed Power Flow Calculation System and its interface for data exchange with the graphical platform. To solve the problem of data synchronization after the dispatcher’s operation a model synchronization updating program is also developmented by using C++,which is based on the method of mail slot. This paper analyzes and designs the key functional modules of this graphics platform. Finally, this paper tested the SVG-based Graphic System for distributed Power Flow Calculation by using the data of Xingtai Regional Dispatch Center. The test results demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of the graphics platform, to achieve the desired effect.
