In order to reduce the influence of the development scheme on surrounding traffic degree, when the project at the development stage or approval stage. This is the definition of Traffic Impact Analysis. The purpose is to evaluate and analysis of construction projects put into use after the completion, the scope and extent of new increasing traffic demand impact on the surrounding traffic, and puts forward the countermeasures or improvement project in the condition of maintain a certain service level, reducing the negative effect caused by the project.Domestic and abroad about the traffic impact assessment was researched on in the paper, and based on the analysis and summary of the similarities or differences, put forward the advantages and disadvantages of various methods. China’s current traffic impact evaluation standard was analysis in-depth, discovered its existence problems, proposed suits our national condition the traffic impact evaluation theory and method.The content of this paper includes construction projects classification, research, identify, and evaluation of life present situation analysis, needs analysis, evaluate the influence degree of traffic, the improvement measures and suggestions, specifically as follows:(1) Methods collecting, sorting, analysis, domestic and international comparison on the traffic impact evaluation and theory, to find out our deficiencies in the traffic impact evaluation, determine the research direction and content;(2) The basic theory of traffic influence was studied on the evaluation of analysis of a construction project, each with different traffic characteristics in nature, is studied by the method of determining the practical characteristics of construction and built years on life and evaluation. Comparative analysis on the method to determine the scope of the study, obtained in the actual work should mainly adopt subjective analysis method.(3) Analysis on the present situation of construction projects, mainly through the current land use, road intersection, and public transportation facilities and the investigation and analysis, provide data support for the following traffic prediction; the four stage method: traffic generation, traffic mode split, traffic distribution and traffic assignment of traffic volume forecast; finally, according to the changes in motor vehicle service level traffic added to the background traffic generated in projects to should determine whether the construction project has a significant impact on the evaluation range transportation system.(4) The eastern outskirts of the farm low-income housing project was select as an example, to verify the practicability and rationality of the methods and theories which set out in the present paper.
