With the implementation efforts increasing of national energy conservation policy,gas produced by power plant must be processed by dust removal device, desulfurizer anddenitrator before released into the atmosphere. In order to adapt to the newenvironmental emissions standards, the boiler of330MW unit in Haibowan power plantshould be installed a denitrator and modified its precipitator. It has been well knownabout the current status of the actual operation of the fan according to the thermal test,and the original fan cannot adapt the reformed system combined the requirements ofsystem resistance increasing, so the fan need to be reformed.Aiming at this transformation, this paper presents two rehabilitation programs, one isto increase capacity of the induced draft fan alone, and the other is combined induceddraft fan and booster fan. According to analyze the results of safety operation, investmentcosts, energy saving effects and etc., the second rehabilitation program is determinedbetter adapt to the requirement of safety and economy. By the program carried out, the5#boiler is stable and easy to adjust, security and economic increased, equipment fault pointand maintenance quantity decreased, and after the rehabilitation of the precipitator anddenitrator, the emission of dust and NOx have achieved the environmental protectionrequirements. After nearly a month of operation analysis, when the reformed unitoperated at70%annual average load factor of West Inner Mongolia Power Grid, thePower consumption rate decreased0.15%, and coal consumption decreased0.567g/kWh.It can saved693000electricity bill and196200fuel costs per year, so the annual totalcost savings are889200Yuan, this marks the rationality and effectiveness of thetransformation.
