Unmanned vehicle platform is widely used in the field of marine environmental protection and marine resources exploration. By carrying different sensors, unmanned vehicle can achieve a variety of marine operations tasks, such as marine resources exploring, marine environmental monitoring, marine disaster early warning, marine or other waters hydrological monitoring. With development of remote communication and remote control, unmanned vehicle has got application in the field of military, for example, it manly used to minesweeping, information obtaining, being a target boat. On the basis of existing technology of unmanned vehicle, this unmanned surveillance remote control system was designed to get further development of unmanned vehicle for marine scientific research.This unmanned vehicle remote control system mainly involved the GPS technology, ARM technology, remote communication. The system can be divided into two parts:the land-based control system and the shipboard system. The land-based control system was loaded on a computer which is connected to the Internet, it can monitor the location and speed of the hull and can controle the movement of the pull; the ship load system’s cpu is stm32(ARM-Cortex) chip and it Integrated the GPS module, remote communication module, the driver module, the speed measuring module and other function module. The ship load system can receive the GPS data, receive the control command and read it, control the drive module to controle the movement of the pull.The specific work of the development includes the hardware construction and software development platform that matches the hardware platform. The hardware platform includes the stm32motherboard, the G591module, the GTM900module, MQ-2H driver module, MC-2speed measuring module. The embedded program code of stm32is write in C, is debugged and write in KEIL. The program mainly to achieve the communication with the surrounding functional modules, stm32communicate with G51by UART2to receive GPS data and GTM900by UART1to achieve remote communication function. stm32controls the movement of hull and collect the speed information by the driver module and the speed measuring module. The land-based control system’ GUI program is written in VB and MAPX build in Visual Studio2010environment. The system is used to display the location of the hull in electronic map and transmit the control command to the shipboard system.
