Computerized supervisory control systems is a combination of computer technology, communication technology, control technology, and has been widely applied in the field of modern industry control, as well as in water supply systems in our country more and more. Water supply system has an important position in national economy for the reason that it can effectively solve the problem of regional uneven distribution of water resource in our country. Current water supply systems, especially in long distance water supply systems which are growing rapidly in amount, equipped a number of varieties kinds of devices in decentralize locations, are large energy consumption, has low operation efficiency and management level, and would have large financial loss because of accidents, which are challenges for the efficient safety operation and high level management of the water supply system. The computerized supervisory control systems in water supply systems can remote monitor water supply system, so as to manage the water supply system timely and effective, and improve the management level and reduce the cost, ensure the safety operation of water supply system.Automated monitoring system composed of water supply project structure was complex, involving multi-disciplinary, its design, development and implementation was a complex automation projects. In order to make the water supply system’s automate come true, this paper developed and studied the water supply system computer monitoring system, which is based on the tool of King View. The main researches are as follows:1)Studied the industrial field automatic monitoring system’s status and the development status and basic structure of the of water supply system. Explained the advantages of the hierarchical distributed monitoring system and its application in water supply system.2)Analyzing the design requirements of automatic monitoring system of So ngxi water supply project in Shanxifor the overall scheme design, and the compa rison and analysis in principle were carried on the frequently-used flow meter a nd Liquid Indicator,to select the differential pressure type level gauge and electr omagnetic flowmeter as the hardware equipment of the project; selecting indust rial Ethernet to build communication network between dispatch center and Sub control station. Local control unit selected CPU315-2PN/DN module of Siemens Company.3) Taking the King view software as platform, according to the system’s working demand developed configuration software. Configuration software connected with SQL server database by ODBC, and made input and query come true by using the King view’s SQL language.4) Used VB program as a platform to develop system working and analyzing software, which can be called in the Kingview supervised system, and used actual monitoring data for system’s analysis. In order to provide the operation of the water supply system technical support fitted the flow and head curve, flow and efficiency curve and flow and capacity curve of each pump in Xiyang Songxi water supply project. Fitted the water supply project laboratory’s data of Tai Yuan University of technology, and analyzed the reason of data errors occurred. Put forward a proposal on the acquisition and curve fitting to other similar engineering data.The research of Automatic monitoring system of water supply system covers a wide range of disciplines. For automatic monitoring systemrof water supply system, this paper was based on the VB program to develop the monitoring system with operation analysis system, analyzed the collected data, so as to guide the economic and reasonable operation of water supply system, it was the biggest innovation point of this paper.Automatic monitoring system in water supply system involves many subjects. In this paper, a VB program, combined with SQL Server as the data base, was developed to analysis the data gathered by the monitoring system, in order to offer a running suggestion for the water supply system, which was also the innovative points of this paper.Perfect the information transmission and dissemination functions of automatic monitoring system, to realize the water information interconnectivity of basin, included interconnection on the rain water collection system of the upper reaches and the water dispatching system of the downstream, which had an important significance for the efficient use of water resources, and to realize computer-automated monitoring from the water and rainfall prediction to water scheduling,which was the next research focus.
