As the load center of distribution power grid, core areas are the political,economic and cultural centers of cities which need the highest power quality andbear maximal economic losses and social influence when power failure. At presentdistribution power grid in urban areas has failed to meet the demands of economicgrowth. It neither adapting to penetration of distributed energy source nor satisfyingthe need of improving power supply reliability. Consequently,constructing a moderndistribution power grid that possesses the perfect structure, technology leading,efficiency, interaction and flexible reliable is the imperative strategic deployment forpower grid enterprise.Based on the construction project of smart distribution power grid in core area ofBaoding City, planning and construction of smart distribution power grid in coreareas in Baoding City was systematically researched studied in this Paper. Throughanalyzing the present condition and problems of distribution power grid in core areas,the planning objectives and construction principle of distribution power grid in coreareas were proposed accordingly. Moreover, optimization of network structure,equipment modification, construction of distribution automation system, upgrade ofdistribution power grid information system, construction of distribution power gridcommunication system, intrduction of distributed power supply were discussed toput forwad an actual building program of distribution power grid in core area. Thispaper has established technical theory system, which gives the reference value andtheory support of smart distribution power grid planning and construction in coreareas.
