This is a booming age of electric power technology,As the leader in thermalpower generation, Thermal power was typical representative. Distributed ControlSystem as the main control technology is widely used in thermal power plant, andimproved the level of automation effectively. Automatic control of thermal powerunits include boilers control, steam turbine control and auxiliary control. Its purposeis to ensure the thermal power unit can adapt to changes in load while safely andeconomically run.Currently, thermal power unit used Domestic DCS more and more widely in ourcountry, there was two advantages for this phenomenon: the one is the better Controleffect, it already very close to the advanced DCS products; the second one is the lowprices of domestic DCS that caused by the competition. This paper depends on theprojects of ShanDong Linzi thermal power Phase III Expansion, used HDPF controlsystem that R&D in Beijing Guodian Hairun Science And Technology Co., Ltd, andanalyse the control quality.The paper consists of four parts.Firstly, introduces the history and trends of DCS;In Chapter II describes the architecture, features, and network structure.Then start thedesign work of the object, include the establishment of database, hardwarerequirements, function requirements from operator stations and engineering stations,the achievement of each subsystem.Finally,work from object commissioning,describethe application of HDPF control system in thermal power unit and the control effect,then analyzes the typical problems during object commissioning and how to maintain.
