As professional bulk cargo wharf handling system becoming higher load, higherefficiency, and more automatic, the problem of loading and unloading systemreliability will be increasingly prominent. Modern bulk cargo wharf handling systemis a complex logistics system, more types and quantity of the machinery andequipment, the randomness of the equipment failure, the uncertainty of maintenancetime and the complexity of equipment connection relationship, all that lead to thereliability of loading and unloading production system presenting a complex form.Under the guidance of the system reliability theory, discrete event dynamic systemtheory and system simulation technology, reliability problems of the emerging silocoal terminal handling system were further researched in this paper, and valuableresults have been achieved. The main contents are as follows:(1) Based on system reliability theory, the reliability problem of the dry bulkcargo wharf handling system are further study. Starting from the segmentationfunction of loading and unloading system, the meaning of bulk cargo wharf handlingsystem reliability have more in-depth description and analysis; Based on thecombination of a single machine equipment reliability index and loading andunloading process line, the two new system reliability indices of the handling systembasic reliability and fine reliability are raised, which enrich the reliability theory ofport loading and unloading system.(2) According to the widely-collected information about the coal terminalhandling equipment failure, reliability index of the main types of loading andunloading equipment would be collected and summarized; A planned and designedemerging silo coal terminal handling system as the object, the basic reliability of theterminal tipping-into-storehouse line and out of warehouse shipping line is calculated.Based on the theory of discrete event dynamic system, the method of the dry bulkterminal handling system reliability simulation is put forward, and the silo coalterminal handling system elaboration reliability simulation model would be set up.(3) Based on the reliability simulation model of silo coal terminal handling system, through changing the fault factor and repair factor, the simulation test wascarried on, and got the system reliability parameters under different fault and repairlevel of; On the basis of simulation test data, the method to estimate the silo coalwharf into/out of warehouse quantity is put forward. Loading and unloading capacityof dump-into-warehouse line and out of the warehouse shipping line has beencalculated respectively. Under the condition of a certain reliability, throughput theport loading and unloading system theory up to is proved, which provides datasupport for evaluating the ability of a wharf handling system.This article research results provides a useful help and support for planning anddesign of the dry bulk port loading and unloading process system as well asequipment management.
