The system applies synthetically the commonsense knowledge of compositematerials and connects with the design manuals and the experts’ experience to solve theproblems which is in the connection design process of aircraft composite material. Basedon the Oracle9i database, the system choice more powerful function and object-orientedprogramming language C#as the programming language, In addition, researching thecomposite material component connection design knowledge base.According to the statistics, most of the design of composite structures isn’t the newone, but on the basis of the original one. The majority of design experience exists in themind of designers. It can’t be presented by a appropriate format, thus can’t achieve theaccumulation and sharing of knowledge. The system can achieve a good re-use ofknowledge avoiding the designers’ duplication operation and it can reduce the productdesign costs. Those functions are the key capacities to win the future market.The knowledge base system uses B/S (Browser/Server) structure, making up theC/A/S three-tier structure’s deficiency. The entire system runs under the Windowsenvironment with good interactive features between person and machine. ThroughASP.net and SQL Server technology, the system achieves the multi-user collaborativedesign and completes the accumulation of knowledge and sharing purposes.The knowledge system mainly achieves those skills like the composite materialcomponent connection design knowledge of addition, modification, removing and storage.Through calculating the similarity of, the system can match the design of needed onewith conventional successful examples from the case base, If the similarity to setrequirements, only on the basis of the original design can be modified; If there is nosimilar instance in the case library, the designer can project a new one according to thedesign requirement.
