Research On Ecu Hardware-in-the-loop Evaluation Test For Engine Control Unit

At present all of the engine control units(ECU)in China are provided by some large foreign suppliers.In order to validate whether the functions of ECU are consistent to the specifications from the suppliers and prevalent the recall insures due to the functional defect of ECU,all of the domestic automobile enterprises need to conduct the engine control units hardware-in-the-loop(HIL)test in automobile development.A set of ECU HIL test evaluation system is required to provide technical support during the test to the automobile enterprises.In this paper,the common control function and fault diagnosis function of ECU were studied intensively,and the overall frame of ECU evaluation test system was presented.Based on the frame,the ECU HIL hardware and software testing platforms were established.The main works of hardware platform were analysis for the dSPACE real-time simulation system and build the hardware platform.The main works of the software platform were the secondary development of the ASM gasoline engine model,the design of the sensor model and the design and development of the experimental management interface.The ECU HIL testing platform was validated by presenting the overall scheme which divided the test verification into engine simulation model validation,sensor signal test verification,actuator signal test verification,CAN communication signal test verification and switch signal test verification.Through the deep research on the ECU HIL evaluation test system,the control function and fault diagnosis function test systems of ECU were established and evaluated the control function and fault diagnosis function based on the ECU HIL test platform.The results showed that the ECU HIL evaluation test system and the ECU HIL test platform were effective at the same time.
