Rotating hub straighteningmachine is one of the indispensable equipment to turn to produce high precision steel wire rodin the company.Some problems, which affect the quality and cost, often appear in the manufacturingprocess due to its complex structure and poor working conditions. Main problems of rotatinghub straightening cutting machine include high requirement，repeated straightening, difficultand complex operation, low efficiency and high technical requirements for workers in thestraightening process. At the same time, many raw materials and more time are wasted in trialcut, and the roundness and surface precision of products are affected by cast iron pressing dies.moreover, customers give strict requirements for surface finishment, straightness, incisionroundness of product. Now, mechanical tuning cutter is the main way of straightening andcutting round bar steel in China, lacking of technical improvement. Researches have beenmade on these problems mentioned above in the steel wire co., LTD., Dongguan.The straightening and cutting process for round steel wire rod has been focused byresearching on Rotating hub straightening machine, which provides a reference to actualproduction. In this thesis. First, at term of existing problems and practical production needs, anew general scheme has been brought out on the basis of the existing straightening cuttingmachine. Second, The straightening theory and elastic-plastic bending deformation of rodhave been analyzed and the design parameters of the rotating hub have been obtained bycalculating, then the straightening efficiency and quality have been improved by adopting themethod of straightening visualization and using PTFE as the molding material,. Then, Aimingat the shortcomings of the mechanical cutting, a tool rotary plate and the hydraulic cuttingsystem have been completed which can meet the demands of practical production.
