Window is a part of the building envelope, on the one hand it composite theouter skin of the building together with the wall and the roof, play the role of heatpreservation and heat insulation. On the other hand, it act as the daylighting device, itmeet people’s demand on comfortable life, despite that, it has important significanceon building energy consumption. The main factors affecting the window daylightingperformance is the glass visible light transmittance and the window wall ratio. Foroffice building, the lighting energy consumption accounted for a large proportion ofthe total energy consumption, therefore, the window daylighting performance willaffect the comprehensive energy consumption (including the refrigeration energyconsumption and the heating energy consumption) by affecting the lighting energyconsumption. In a word, study the effect of the office building comprehensive energyconsumption affected by the window daylighting performance has significance tooptimize the office building energy-saving design and promote the development ofbuilding energy saving in China.This paper is devoted to study the window daylighting performance on thecomprehensive energy consumption of the hot summer and cold winter zone officebuilding when considering the window daylighting. First of all, select two mainfactors as the study object by analysis the factors that influence the windowdaylighting performance; then select4representative city from the hot summer andcold winter zone through the analysis of the climate of hot summer and cold winterregion; then, build a model based on a real project with the eQuest software; finallyanalysis the influence of the window glass visible light transmittance and the windowwall ratio on the building comprehensive energy consumption based on the eQuestmodel.The results show that: the comprehensive energy consumption will be reducedby10%to15%after considering the window daylighting performance; the windowglass visible transmittance has certain influence on the hot summer and cold winterzone office building, the lighting energy consumption will decreased2.5%when using the three silver Low-E hollow glass instead of the single silver Low-E hollowglass; when the other conditions are fixed, as the window wall ratio increasing, thecomprehensive energy consumption of the building will reduced first and thenincreased, for office building in the hot summer and cold winter zone, there is aoptimal window wall ratio interval which make the comprehensive energyconsumption of the building get to its minimum, for this model, the optimal windowwall ratio interval is0.5~0.6.
