A Research On Communication Management Of Engineering Projects

This thesis aims to carry out the research and analysis of the current situation ofinternal information communication of Group Corporation A based on the problemsincluding internal waste of resources and conflicts due to the delay in payment andother issues. From the perspective of workflow, the roots of the problems wereanalyzed and the concrete measures to perfect the system were proposed.Based on the collecting of a lot of references both at home and abroad related tocommunication management, the theories and methods of organizationcommunication management were obtained and then the problems of projectmanagement in Group Corporation A were diagnosed, categorized and concludedwith the project department as the core. And it turned out that the key problem was ofcommunication issues with higher authorities on project allocating funds, capitalassets management and purchasing and with other involved parties. Thecommunication of Group Corporation with branch offices and then with projectdepartments involved the instructions issued by the Group Corporation to projectdepartments of every branch company as well as the bottom-up feedbacks flowing.Based on the further cause analysis of allocating funds, equipment management,purchasing and other vital workflows, concrete suggestions to improving keyworkflows were proposed, including deletion of non-value-added approved activities,improvement of the procedure management system, etc., which would reinforce theperfection of the management system, improve the effectiveness of communicationand enhance the competitiveness of the corporation.
