| Smart grid market has become the next target of global powernetwork depending on its flexible distribution, rational energy schedulingand intelligent decision supporting. Personalized blueprints andconstructions of smart gird are made by different types of countriesaccording to their conditions. Compared to American and Europeancountries, Chinese smart grid construction is still on her starting pointwith the characteristics of Large Scale Power Dispatching and Marketingrestricted by resource distribution. Aiming to this feature, smartsubstation, as a neuron of smart grid, must meet multiple requirements onpower dispatching, equipment controlling, information collection anddecisions etc.220kV voltage level plays a major role in power transmission andtransformation in China. It is an important level in transmission anddistribution of provinces or conurbations, which combines high-capacityFlow scheduling and transmission and transformation in regions. Thus, this subject selected220kV central substation as a model proposing todesign a smart power stations named A TYPE STATION. A TYPESTATION will be analyzed and broken up via communication andoperation level by level, from top to bottom in order to establish a“Station levelâ€,“Bay levelâ€,“Process level†the three-level functionalstructure. Through achieved the functions of each level and based on the current smart substations technology, A TYPE STATION is designed tothe future.Limited to the current technology of domestic equipment andinformation device, many smart advanced applications still remain in thetheoretical stage. Different emphasis and stage of development amongdifferent provinces cause the variable features of different smartsubstations. A TYPE STATION is not designed for the top technology butfor the appropriate status and better cost performance according to therequirements of smart grid. The issue terminates in verifying the designed functions byillustrating some operating smart substations at home and abroad. I hopethis issue will give some reference to the development of220kV centralsmart substations in China. |
