High current DC converter equipment is a common device in industrial production, and its supporting protection device has been the hot spot of domestic and foreign research. With the development of intelligent control theory and smart chip, the protection of the converter equipment has been transformed from the pure hardware to hardware and software. In view of the trend, this paper hardware protection circuit, DSP and MCU application to high current DC converter protection device, this paper persents embedded dual-CPU system regulating the protection of the overrall scheme.The dual CPU data acquisition system of this scheme is based on TMS320F2812 and AT89LV52.DSP is the core processor and mainly responsible for data acquisition and data processing; MCU is mainly responsible for command control, man-machine exchange management; The dual-port RAM is responsible for data communication and data sharing between DSP and MCU. The design of the intelligent protection module is divided into two parts, hardware and software. The hardware part mainly has the sampling circuit, the dual communication circuit, the touch screen interface circuit, the over-voltage overcurrent protection circuit, the lack of protective circuit and the overheat protection circuit. The software part, mainly involves MCU, DSP and dual-port RAM programming, through the detailed flow chart to clarify each part of the programming idea.At last, the hardware and software of the system are debugged and cascaded with the design of the system. The experiments show that this system can indeed completed a predetermined function. After the real-time data is collected and uploaded, the host computer processes later stages of the analysis. The real-time touch screen monitors the industrial field, take immediately protective action after the device failure to prevent the further expansion of the fault.The design has a great value in practical application.
