| Natural asphalt and petroleum asphalt both are of bases of petroleum and their chemical structures are similar, and they disturbed widely in the world.Due to the shortage of raw oil material resources today, natural asphalt can replace some basic asphalt, not only reduces the use cost of asphalt, which has important significance for the development of new energy sources and the performances such as aging resistance could be improved. As a resource, natural asphalt has a world wide distribution, but its application is far from enough. In order to expand its range of application, the paper gives the preparation of waterproof membrane with basic asphalt modified natural asphalt membrane of Buton rock asphalt(BRA).Firstly, BRA modified asphalt is prepared by the asphalt incorporating with BRA treated early, and the three routine testing on BRA modified asphalt is done. The results show that BRA incorporation of making asphalt penetration, penetration and softening point is increased and The results show that the incorporation of BRA makes the penetration, penetration ratio and the softening point of asphalt increased and the ductility and ductility ratio is decreased. This trend is gradually increased with the increasing of BRA dosage. The incorporation of BRA enhances the asphalt’s capability of resisting deformation and improves the aging resistance and high temperature performance of asphalt.SBS and BRA complex modified asphalt are prepared with BRA modified asphalt added SBS polymer modifiers. Infrared spectrum show that the modification mechanism of BRA modified asphalt and SBS modified asphalt is the same. Both of them are physical blending process and have no significant chemical changes. Compared with pure SBS modified asphalt, the incorporation of BRA can reduce production costs, improve the heat resistance and segregation resistance, and play the role of replacing part of SBS modifier.Second, when BRA modified asphalt is added the talcum powder, the results of penetration test show that adding BRA and talc can make the asphalt hard and enhance the capability of resisting deformation. Because the declined of modified asphalt is basically same when added BRA or talcum powder, the incorporation of BRA can replace some or all of talc, and plays the role of filler. Compared the mineral aggregate composition of BRA with talc powder, the minerals of BRA is a high alkaline agent. The rich active substances of its surface can improve the adsorption capacity for ion of basic asphalt. In addition, according to good adhesion acid-base properties of asphalt and basic stone, BRA also greatly enhances the adhesion ability of asphalt.Now, the test conditions of the elastomer modified asphalt membrane are determined, that is, the asphalt is heated to 135℃, incorporated BRA proportionally, stirred for 0.5h, so that BRA can evenly dispersed in asphalt. Then the BRA modified asphalt is heated to 185℃, added a certain proportion of SBS, continue stirred for 2h, so that SBS can evenly dispersed in modified asphalt. A certain percentage of naphthenic oils and PP added in sequence, continue stirred 5h, the preparation of elastomer modified asphalt membrane coating materials are made. Finally, the prepared modified asphalt coating material is poured onto the bead-based materials quickly and needed natural cooling at room temperature.The formula of elastomer modified asphalt membrane is: 43% Maoming 90# asphalt, 10% SBS, 37% BRA, 5% PP and 5% naphthenic oils. BRA can replace some 90# in the preparation of SBS modified asphalt membrane. The maximum dosage is 19% of the total mass of asphalt. The indicators of coil conform to industry standards. The incorporation of BRA can completely replace the talc powder; the largest content is 37% of the total mass. |
