Post Occupancy Evaluation On The Modern Agricultural Ecology Garden Of Baoding

With the rapid development of social economy and the acceleration of urbanization, modern agricultural ecology garden as a new type of park in public city, becoming more and more popular. The construction of this type of park also set off a boom. In the process of construction of those parks, people currently paid too much attention to the landscape effect, while ignoring the landscape function. Although architects have accumulated some experience, but lacking of concentration to users’ demand which led to the actual use effect of built environment unsatisfactory. For that reason, the author studied on the use of modern agricultural ecology garden of Baoding which based on behavior and experience of users, in order to provide reference for the construction of other parks.Basing on the POE theory, modern agricultural ecology garden of Baoding has been taken as the subject in this paper, and questionnaire survey combining with behavior observation method have already been used of the investigation. Ultimately, the conclusion has been drawn as follows by analysis of the survey result:(1) According to the investigation of users’ behavior and characteristics, it has been proved that the age of users was widespread; the purpose of visiting was definitely clear; the content of users’ activity was highly diverse; seasonal activity was relatively fixed and the residence time was longer than others. According to the conclusion, the author summarized varied factors effected the environment quality and efficiency of the park. They were functional division of space, the type and scale of space, the green standard and service facilities and so on.(2) Through the observation and record of the user behavior, the author summarized some questions as follows: ①The functional layout of the park is unreasonable, the type of space is single; ②Modern agricultural ecology garden of Baoding is lack of cultural connotation, the characteristic is not distinct; ③The pavement space is not humility; ④ The type of waterscape landscape is single, the quantity of aquatic plants is not much; ⑤ Supporting facilities is too single, the maintenance and management of facilities are not inadequate; ⑥The theme of plant landscape is indeterminate, the shade effect of plants is not ideal.(3) Through scoring the overall landscape, it can be seen that the overall landscape evaluation of modern agricultural ecology garden was preferable. In many of the factors, plant landscape comprehensive evaluation was more prominent. For instance, the plant species, density and seasonal variation of growth all got high scores. On the contrary, low score items were mainly concentrated in the landscape architecture and facilities. In addition, many users were not satisfied with the human landscape, aquatic plants and shade plant of this park.Finally, optimization suggestions about modern agricultural ecology garden of Baoding have been given according to the conclusion.
