Now the composition way of VHF communication subsystem belonging to VTS mainly adopts special station equipment, and it uses circuit switching to constitute a VHF communication network of VTS. This kind of VHF system has problems such as high cost, difficult management of maintenance, poor sustainability and so on. In recent years, packet switching VHF network based on VoIP is also applied in VTS. Because of its special device composition, there are still some problems just like high cost. In addition, the adoption of commercial VoIP devices and software in system structure and no improvement of technology according to the characteristics of the VHF communication operation lead to the problem of no synchronization between voice and control and poor quality of voice.This thesis develops a set of marine VHF equipment using VoIP packet network to realize the VHF communication subsystem of VTS in the funding support of "The branch project of Zhicheng bridge station and Badong station of Yichang vessel tra ffic management system(contract label:2010Z942)".(1)This thesis mainly study the transformation of VHF communication device in VTS system, using the embedded technology to modify the traditional marine VHF equipment.It can also realize the digital processing and transmission of voice data,make the marine VHF equipment applying to the VTS VHF subsystem and improve marine VHF equipment for VTS.(2)Transceivers can exchange information with all VHF terminals effectively and accurately through local area network, using the possible coming VoIP Packet network transmission technology and it can realize the network communications between improved VHF equipments.It can improve the communication quality between ships on the sea, ship and shore, base station and VTS center.(3)Design communication panel of VHF operation terminal through analyzing the control signal of Marine VHF equipment in the programming environment of Visual Studio 2008 and realize the remote control of equipment by the VTS center operating personnel of base station.(4)Build an interconnected system of two equipments and realize the remote control of a transceiver device through the network for examing the validity and feasibility of the transformation plan for Marine VHF equipment.
