Manufacturing execution system (MES) is a set of oriented manufacturing execution layer (factory/plant) production information management system, through the implementation of MES, an advanced method of management and science of it will be applied in the enterprise, so as to create more economic benefits for enterprises. YC Machinery Limited by Share Ltd engine assembling and testing plant belongs to the typical discrete production industry, the characteristics of its production is the product types, small batch, many kinds of materials, short production cycle, production site management complex, there is an urgent need to implement MES to improve the production management and control level of the enterprise, and reduce the production cost.Combining with the management features of YC engine assembly and testing plant, and according to the features of the MES system, the method of implementation of MES system are studied in this thesis. First of all, an integrated scheme of MES and the existing information system was studied in this thesis. The enterprise data exchange solution among the existing information system and MES was proposed. The MES system of electrical control project and information network architecture were designed in this thesis. Secondly, research of field data acquisition and transmission method. Put forward the field data, equipment data collected by scanning gun or PLC schemes, and puts forward the specific methods of transmission. The scheme of the binding material and quality of the data and the engine number was designed. Field data acquisition scheme and production line equipment operating data is put forward, namely through scanning gun or PLC data acquisition data. The schemes that material and quality data are bound to the engine number were designed. Finally, The MES implementation scheme of the key business were designed. The implementation plans of key business such as production management, products technical documents transmission, real-time call, quality management and traced, material management, equipment management are put forward. Through the implementation of MES system in the engine test plant, we realizes no paper office spot factory, material assembly mistake proofing, production progress monitoring, abnormal production of call/alarm (Andon), the quality of the product traceability and other functions were realized in the factory, and the management level of the factory is improved.
