This paper is based on the highway cutting machine entity, for further design, optimization of function and innovation of function. According to former plan and design target, the three-dimensional model has been established. Meanwhile, kinematics simulation of the model, finite element analysis of main components and automatic control of partial function are done. A new pruning machine could not only achieve the simultaneous multiple-surface shearing of green belt, but also achieve the automatic control of horizontal position of multiple-surface knives by achieving a large area of the side trim through folding deformation to improve work efficiency and enhance the quality of pruning.This paper is based on the study of the researching status of gardening machines at home and abroad and development trend, put forward the designing requirement of three plane trimming and horizontal trimming distance automatic control through demanding new green belt trimming.This pruning machine is of high working efficiency, high diversity of trimming gesture, strong trimming adaptability and high intelligence level.First of all, use the reciprocating cutting technology in agriculture and the characteristics of green belt plants for reference, bring appropriate transformation to the cutting tool, choose the right sway ring mechanism as power conversion, powered by the hydraulic motor and transfer the relative positions of three plane knives through the stretch out and draw back of hydraulic cylinders. All of the above are available through UG 3D software to establish the model to realize.For making the prototype directly, the software of UG8.0 draw three-dimensional model of trimmers, and combined with ADAMS software, to analysis the kinematics and dynamic of the model. Then use ANSYS finite element analysis of important parts of the ring body swing, get the main parts of the main stress distribution, provides data support for further improvement of main parts. Finally, use single-chip technology to realize the automatic control of the three plane knife horizontal distance.
