The most important factor of the 21 st century is talents, in which innovation people are the foremost. For an enterprise or a country, it is necessary to strengthen the economy. However in order to achieve strong economy and keep the economy rapidly developing we have to depend on innovation activities, especially the product innovation. The cultivation of innovative talents and the realization of product innovation requires the support of efficient innovation method and perfect innovation theory. The TRIZ theory is a high summation of human innovation activities, which the contents of scientific effects included are innovation methods based on a large number of innovation cases in different fields and ranges. The application of content knowledge in different fields is necessary for the realization of high quality product innovation.This subject is a study for innovation design of mechanical product based on scientific effects. The design of mechanical products is divided into four steps: product planning, concept design, technical design and detailed design. And the concept design phase is the key step to realize innovation. In the first place, this paper began researching from concept design and its effects in innovation, which we have confirmed the strong innovation abilities of TRIZ in concept design and defined the essence of produce innovation, that is the realization of product functional design. Scientific effect is one of the TRIZ theory modules, and a bond and bridge from function mapped to specific structure in the concept design, and the most basic and effective method to realize innovation.The article makes a point of scientific effects and institutions, inventive principles and the combination between patent infringement and patent circumvention. Scientific effects are the summary for the existing design activity, and the structures, inventive principles and patent circumvention are the necessary parts of the design activities. Based on these thoughts we study the relationship of them and analyze how to use these relationships to apply scientific effects significance into the concept design from function to structure.After determining how the scientific effects and other knowledge applied in the concept design activities,we established the specific process and concept design model based on scientific effects,which made the scientific effects playing the biggest role in the process of concept design.Based on the study of the scientific effects, we have developed a mechanical products assist innovation system based on the scientific effects library system. Computer-aided innovation is not only the inevitable choice of modern design, but also the best way to build and manage huge databases of scientific effects. We can improve the quality and efficiency of innovation through the computer-aided system.
